Visa Indonesia
You have some different solutions for your visa for Indonesia. You do well to think well ahead how long you wish to stay in Indonesia, after that you can decide which visa you prefer.
In June 2015, Indonesia relaxed the visa rules. This makes it available for 30 nationalities - including Dutch and Belgians - to receive a free visa for 30 days.
Previously you could get a Visa On Arrival on arrival. You had to pay this in cash, typically after standing in line for a long time. This is therefore no longer required! (* if you meet the conditions listed below). You will now receive a free Indonesia visa for thirty days. Unfortunately, this is no longer extendable in the area, so in Thirty Days you really need to leave the country.
If you like to stay longer than 30 days you can buy a VOA upon arrival, this can be prolonged once again for 30 days.
Rules visa exemption
There are a few rules for the visa exemption for Indonesia:
Like any country, you must have a passport that is valid for at least another six months.
You must have clear documentation that you will leave Indonesia within thirty days. A return ticket or transit ticket that falls in thirty days is sufficient for this.
This only applies to travellers. So not if you are intending to do an internship there. Even when you go on family visits and stay overnight where you are not eligible.
You are only eligible for a visa waiver if you enter the country through one of the assigned corridor gates. These wased initially a few airports and ports, but now it is available for almost every primary airport. Certainly the better-known airports.
Stay in Indonesia for beyond Thirty Days.
If you want to travel over 30 days through Indonesia, you have two choices. Option 1 is to purchase a VOA . Where the visa exemption is only possible at the above access ports, you can purchase a Visa On Arrival at pretty much every access point in Indonesia.
A Visa On Arrival costs you $ 35 for 30 days. These 30 days can be expanded once for another 30 days so you can stay in Indonesia for sixty days. Prolonging your visa is done at one of the immigration offices. These are found in famous locations just like Yogyakarta and Bali.
The other, a more accessible solution is to make an application for a tourist visa before you leave. You can do this online, but it is easy. In Indonesia, you also do not waste time visiting an immigration office. You can apply for your visa in Indonesia via the Dutch E-Visa, a trusted party with a lot of experience.
Overstay
You pay for a fine of 300,000 Indonesian Rupiah per day that you stay in the country for longer than your visa allows. Staying a few days longer is not a problem wherever you pay the fine. Nonetheless, a longer overstay of your visa in Indonesia is not advised, after all, it is still a crime.
Getting a visa upfront
If you know in advance that you want to stay in Indonesia for over Thirty Days, it may be useful to getting your visa in the Netherlands. You can apply for different visas at the Indonesian Embassy.
For instance, you can get a visa for sixty days or a visa for a longer period if you like to work or study in Indonesia Do not forget to bring the usual things, such as your passport, printed information about your flight ticket and a passport photo. A more worry-free - but just a little more expensive - choice is to use a visa agent.
Business Visa Indonesia.
One more good alternative is to getting Business Visa.
Business Visa to Bali is a multiple-entry visa, meaning that it will allow you get in or out of Indonesia for as much as you may need. However, one point to be considered, Business Visa only enables you to stay maximum for 60 days per visit.
